Life, a little closer.

The small stuff. Your favourite people.

A private place to share everyday life with family and friends. Photos, voice notes and the next get-together, all with the people you know.

Invitation only Always chronological No adverts

01 / Share the day

You don’t need an occasion.

The grandparents a few hours away. The friends now in different cities. Let them in on the bits they would otherwise miss.

The Padmores sharing a garden photo in their chronological AmongFolk feed.
A place for the day as it happened.

A photo. A reply. You’re caught up.

Post a photo, video or a few words. Everything stays in the order it was shared, with replies alongside it.

Voice notes that stay

Hear the story in their own voice. With Plus, voice notes sit beside the photos, with a written-out version if you choose.

02 / Make the next plan

Turn “we should” into a date everyone can make.

Pick a weekend. Find out who’s coming. Keep the address and the bring-a-salad list together, where everyone can find them.

One-off events are free. Date polls and recurring plans come with Plus

1 Find the weekend that works.

Less chasing.
More seeing each other.

RSVPs, extra guests, shared lists and notes. Add the plan to your calendar and get a reminder before the day.

Make it regular. Take turns hosting.

2 Put the next date in the diary.

03 / Keep what matters

Some things deserve
more than a scroll past.

The birthday messages. The recipe everyone asks for. A whole weekend, seen through everyone’s camera.

A birthday guestbook

For Mum,
with love.

For every lift, every Sunday lunch, and always picking up the phone.

Love, Ellie

Same walk next Sunday?
I’ll carry the stones this time.

Private guestbooks

Everyone has something to say. Give it to her together.

A guestbook is a page of messages for someone. They can’t read it until you give it to them. Add words, photos, video or a voice note. Birthdays start their own book and give it on the day.

Something to open again, long after the candles are out.

Shared notes, recipes and traditions

“How does Mum make it?”

Keep the recipe, the directions and how you do Christmas. Shared notes and lists keep everyone up to date; What we know gives recipes and traditions a home with Plus.

Shared photo albums

One weekend. Everyone’s photos.

Gather the pictures in an album with Plus, or turn back through an event recap. On this day brings old posts back on their anniversary.

The rest comes naturally

And there’s more.

Useful things. Thoughtfully included.

  • Group check-ins

A weekly or monthly question, answered in words, photos, voice or video. Revisit past rounds as a book.

  • Recommendations

Film, series, book, record and place recommendations. Share what you loved, and why.

  • Ask your folk

Which book next, which restaurant, which route. Put the choices up and everyone taps. Part of Plus.

  • Two little games

The Worst Expert is 30 seconds of sounding completely sure. Prove It is one photo each, kept secret until the shared reveal. Part of Plus.

  • Get-togethers across groups

Bring two circles together for one plan. Each group keeps its own replies and photos private.

  • On this day

Old posts return on their anniversary. An ordinary Tuesday, suddenly worth remembering.

  • Find it. Keep it close.

Search within your group, then keep favourite moments on the group page to find again.

  • Shared lists

The shopping, the packing, who brings what. A list everyone can add to and tick off.

  • Your own calendar

Add a plan or subscribe once to keep confirmed events up to date. Get a reminder before the day.

  • Make it a regular thing

Repeat weekly, monthly or yearly. Take turns hosting, so one person isn’t always making the arrangements.

  • Thoughtful invitations

Private links and QR codes. People in the group can suggest someone they know; the group owner decides.

  • Replies and reactions

A heart, a few words or a photo in reply. Keep the conversation beside the moment.

  • Your data, to take with you

Download shared photos and videos, or request an export of your personal data. Export is never paywalled.

Your people. Your privacy.

A room of your own.

Here is what private means at AmongFolk, in plain English.

Invitation only

No discovery, public profiles or search. People join through a private invitation from someone already inside, and your group’s posts have no public address on the internet.

Nobody here browses your feed

There is no staff screen for browsing your group’s posts, photos, videos or voice notes. What you share stays with the people you invited.

Media kept in private storage

Photos, videos and voice notes you upload stay in encrypted private storage. Your group opens them through private links that work only for people in the group, and your uploads never get a public web address.

No adverts, no trackers, no sale

No advertising networks, third-party trackers or session replay, and we never sell your data. Your group’s subscription funds the whole service, while removing someone ends their access immediately.

When you invite another group to a get-together, only the event details you choose are shared. Replies and photos stay in their own group. Organisers see combined attendance totals, and each group can keep a private archive when sharing ends.

All of this is set out in full, with the retention periods and your GDPR rights, in our privacy policy.

Who’s this for?

For the people you already know.

AmongFolk began with new parents and grandparents at the other end of the country. It fits the other circles in your life, too.

  • Family

    New parents. Faraway grandparents.

The muddy knees, the first wobbly steps, the photos from this morning. Let them see the everyday.

  • Friends

    Old friends. Different cities.

Keep up with life between visits, pass on a good recommendation, and put the next reunion in the diary.

  • Clubs

The book club. The supper club.

Vote on the next read, share what someone cooked, and find a date everyone can make.

  • Teams

    Your Saturday morning regulars.

The running club or five-a-side team. Keep the match photos, sort the next meet-up, and carry on the debrief.

  • Housemates

The house changed. The group stayed.

A place for the people you used to live with. Keep the photos and work out who’s hosting next.

  • Across time zones

Close, even from a long way away.

Post when it suits you. Family and friends catch up when they’re awake. Nobody has to be online together.

A few things you might be wondering

Before you bring your folk.

Why would we use this instead of a group chat?

Chats are brilliant for the next five minutes and terrible at keeping last Sunday. AmongFolk is a place to keep the photos, find the plan and come back to the birthday messages. Everything arrives in order and stays within your group.

Who can see what we share?

Only the people in that group. There is no public profile, no search, and no staff screen for browsing posts. The full wording is in Why private and in the privacy policy.

When can I get the app?

AmongFolk is available on iPhone. You can also get it on Android. Use the store links on this page.

Can everyone invite someone?

People in the group can suggest someone they already know; the group owner always decides. There is no public search or discovery.

Life, a little closer.

Who would you bring?

Start on Free. Add Plus for one group, or Together for up to five. Everyone you invite joins free.
