AmongFolk provides private group spaces for sharing photos and updates. You must be at least 13 to create an account. You must be 18 or older to create a group and manage billing.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You can report any post, reply, photo or member from its menu in the app, or email safety@amongfolk.com. We review every report, and we may remove content, remove someone from a group, or suspend or close an account that breaches these terms — without notice where the breach is serious. You can also block another member at any time, which hides their posts, replies, photos and reactions from you and stops them notifying you.
Group owners are responsible for ensuring all members consent to photos of children being shared within the group. AmongFolk does not have access to your private group content except as required for technical operation or abuse investigation.
Groups can start on Free, which includes notes, replies, reactions, a small shared allowance for photos and video, and the weekly digest. Plus adds voice notes, events, albums and considerably more room. One subscription covers everyone in the group; current allowances, prices and limits are shown in the app on the group plan page. If you cancel, everything already shared stays visible, and new voice notes, events and albums stop. Buying a subscription in the App Store or on Google Play during a free trial starts billing immediately.
Your group's photos, video and voice notes stay stored, viewable and downloadable for 12 months after a paid subscription or a free trial ends. After that period they may be permanently deleted, and deletion cannot be undone.
Three things limit this, and they matter:
You can export your data at any time during the 12 months, including after the subscription has ended.
You can export your data, and delete your posts and replies, at any time. Deleting your account anonymises your profile; what you shared stays in the group unless you delete it first. You can do that in the app, or at our delete-account page in any browser without installing anything. Group owners can delete the group and everything in it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. We may modify or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
