Community Guidelines & Child Safety Standards

Last updated: September 17, 2026

AmongFolk is a private, invitation-only app for families and friend groups. These Community Guidelines and Child Safety Standards apply to everyone who uses it.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation

AmongFolk strictly prohibits all forms of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). That includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, and anything that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a child.

If we find it, we remove it at once, close the account, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement. There is no warning first.

How to report

If something feels wrong:

Child safety point of contact: safety@amongfolk.com

We read every child safety report as soon as it arrives, and we act within 24 hours.

How we respond

AmongFolk uses technical measures to detect and prevent CSAM. Confirmed material is removed immediately and reported to NCMEC through CyberTipline. We cooperate with law enforcement.

We do not browse your group's photos, videos, or messages. The only exceptions are keeping the service running, investigating a report, enforcing these standards, or a legal duty.

Age

You must be at least 13 to create an account. Only adults (18 or older) can create groups and manage billing. We check age when you sign up, and we may ask again if we have reason to.

Using AmongFolk

Look after the people in your group, especially children. Only share what you have the right to share, and get consent before posting photos or videos of someone else. Do not harass anyone, impersonate anyone, or use AmongFolk for anything illegal.

Photos of children

If you share photos or videos of children, you are responsible for having a parent or guardian's consent, and for making sure everyone in the group is happy for those photos to be there. Do not share anything that would help a stranger find a child. Take it down at once if a parent or guardian asks.

If someone breaks this

We may remove what was shared, remove someone from a group, suspend an account, or close it for good. Illegal activity is reported to law enforcement. Child safety violations are reported to NCMEC. Anything involving CSAE is acted on immediately, without a prior warning.
